The new Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime app for Shopify is an updated version of the Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment app for Shopify, combining the fulfillment benefits of Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) and the ecommerce benefits of Buy with Prime. With a single app, you can integrate both MCF and Buy with Prime seamlessly into your existing Shopify site, and manage your catalog, orders, and returns for both services directly in Shopify admin. In addition to the MCF features already available to you through the existing app, the new app includes an integrated cart that lets shoppers add products fulfilled by MCF and Prime eligible products to your Shopify site’s existing cart, and then check out in one transaction. Additionally, you can use both solutions to cover your entire site’s fulfillment needs and save on fulfillment costs by consolidating shipments of multi-unit orders in the integrated cart. You must have products activated with MCF and Buy with Prime to take advantage of the integrated cart and fulfillment cost savings.
Do I have to use both solutions if I install the Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime app for Shopify?
No, you aren’t required to use both solutions. However, if you want to take advantage of the fulfillment cost savings on multi-unit orders, you need to have SKUs activated for MCF and Buy with Prime on your site. A tiered discount on fulfillment fees applies to multi-unit orders that include both Prime eligible products and other products from your site fulfilled by MCF.
How much does it cost to use the Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime app for Shopify?
There is no cost to use the app. However, Buy with Prime and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) have their own associated fees. See the pricing pages for Buy with Prime and MCF. Keep in mind that if you use both solutions on your ecommerce site, you can take advantage of fulfillment cost savings on multi-unit orders.
